This model in 1/76th scale depicts a Swedish S-Tank 103C. This was a good garage kit from Kjell Svensson with a dozen of parts in resin although there were a few air bubbles in the castings. The kit was built out of the box or rather, in this case, out of the bag. Towing hooks and exhaust pipes were made of copper wire and antennas from bristles of a large brush. The whole kit had then been painted in Humbrol enamels and received a treatment with wash and dry-brushing. The base was made of Celluclay and covered after painting with Techstar snow. The house is built of plastic card and strip. The wall and the house foundation were made of an plastic sheet intended for railroad dioramas. My main idea was to make an Swedish tank with winter camouflage. To place it in Norrland (northern part of Sweden 1/3 of it inside the artic circle) in 1986 came naturally. The house was painted in Falu-red with white corners - in my opinion a must-have element of a Swedish diorama.
