The newest 1/72 kit from Academy, Messerchmitt Me 262, has appeared already in September and should be readily available at the market at the time of this writing. Considering the popularity of Messerchmitt's classic jet fighter, I found it somewhat surprising that the major review sites on the web all but ignored the kit's arrival. One notable exception is the Internet Modeler, which has published an in-box review of the kit, but an even better review can be found at the pages of IPMS USA:

IPMS USA:

Internet Modeler:

...and what can be read in the review is that Academy tried har to produce a kit with all the options included in one basic package. Options include such things as smooth or treaded nosewheel tires, or complete set of parts for Me 262C rocket-propelled interceptor (!). The decal sheet contains markings for no less than 12 different aircraft.
